Giles issued three (3) different balls during his tenure which are easily discernable based on the stampings - 1 1952-57, 2 1958-62, & 3 1963-69. This ball is the 1952-57 because of the clear, non-rubber stamping approach still easily seen in the Spalding logo as well as the box I received it in I will be listing it here in a moment. Imagine this ball signed by an all-time great from these playing days or even your favorite team's players. What a classic to marry a players greatest triumphs with the ball of that year.
Please compare the ball pix to the descriptions of grades in attached last few pix. This ball is a gamer gem can't obviously prove this but commercial sales weren't really a thing this far back!!
Note - I do not list multiple listings with stock photos. Each listing has the pix of the exact ball you would get. With leather, there are always markings/blemishes even if the ball just rolled off the manufacturing line. It's leather, animal skin, and no two cows skin is the same. Just like they say no two leather jackets are the same.Upon close look at each pix, listing-to-listing, you'll see ever small variations between baseballs despite the same overall grade.
