Rare vintage 1932 Chicago Cubs Official National League Champions Baseball Award/Trophy. After winning the National League Pennant in 1932, members of that team were presented this award/trophy. The Cubs then lost to the New York Yankees and Babe Ruth in the World Series. Ruth's famous "Called Shot" homerun was hit in this World Series. This trophy is in its original condition and is 3.5 tall.
The award is made out of metal. Not sure of the exact content, but it is not magnetic, possibly nickel or silver. I have no information as to which team member or staff member was presented with this specific trophy. Following is an excerpt from that listing: The era was 1932, pre-war and depression era. What is probable is the likelihood of a collaborative effort of the managers or owners to make and present something limited or special to the team members or front office personnel for that winning season.
